️ Disappointing Return to Hotel Taj, Jammu Restaurant I visited the Hotel Taj restaurant yesterday evening for dinner. I was genuinely excited to return after a gap of almost seven years, as I distinctly remembered this establishment being the absolute best in Jammu for both exceptional meal taste and sophisticated ambiance. Unfortunately, my return was a profound disappointment, suggesting the restaurant is relying heavily on its past reputation while severely compromising on current quality and standards. The Restaurant Experience: A Decline in Quality Food Quality: The culinary experience was a shadow of what I remembered. The food tasted merely average—lacking the distinct flavors and quality that once set Hotel Taj apart. It felt uninspired and forgettable, indicating a lack of the dedication to excellence I once admired. Facility Maintenance: Beyond the food, the decline in the physical environment was stark. I cannot comment on the rooms or other hotel facilities as I was not a guest, but the washrooms available to restaurant patrons were in an unacceptable state. They were filthy, with broken accessories, which seriously detracts from the dining experience and raises critical concerns about general hygiene and administration. The Verdict and Call to Action It is apparent that the management is using the hotel's previous excellent reputation to maintain operations, rather than investing in the quality control, taste, and basic maintenance required today. The Hotel Taj restaurant in Jammu desperately needs a strong, competent administrator to address these critical issues, especially the unacceptable quality of the food and the severe lack of cleanliness in the facilities. Immediate action is needed before the esteemed legacy is completely tarnished.

I recently stayed at Hotel Taj in Jammu for 20 days, and throughout my stay, I genuinely felt a homely and comfortable atmosphere. Among hotels in its category across Jammu, this one truly stands apart for its service, warmth, and overall hospitality. From the very first day, the staff greeted me with genuine courtesy and professionalism. The Manager and Reception team were extremely cordial, always attentive and ready to help with anything I needed. Their welcoming nature made the long stay feel smooth and effortless. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful environment after a tiring day. The hotel’s location is another major plus the market is nearby, making it convenient for any quick shopping or evening walks. During my entire 20-day stay, I was fully satisfied with the service provided. If I were to suggest one area of improvement, it would be the breakfast menu. Adding more variety and introducing alternate items on alternate days would make the morning experience even better, especially for long-stay guests like me. Overall, my stay was truly pleasant, and I am very happy with the service standards of this hotel in Jammu.
