Recently, I visited this well-known biriyani spot near Pollachi, supposedly famous for its mutton and chicken biriyani. While I was hoping for something exceptional, my experience was quite underwhelming. Starting with the food, both the mutton and chicken biriyani tasted fairly ordinary, not bad, but nothing that stood out compared to other biriyani places. The restaurant was incredibly crowded, and it seemed that the staff was struggling to keep up with the flow of people. The lack of maintenance was also hard to ignore; the entire place felt a bit run-down, and the washing area, in particular, was very dirty, which dampened the overall dining experience. What I found surprising was the enthusiasm of the local crowd, who seemed to genuinely enjoy the food. Perhaps there’s a traditional touch or local flavor that resonates more with them, but personally, I didn’t see what all the fuss was about. Overall, if you’re looking for a memorable biriyani experience, this place might not be worth the hype, especially if cleanliness and flavor complexity matter to you.
