Having dined at The Secret Kitchen’s Vadodara outlet twice before, I had a fair idea of what to expect here in Rajkot beautiful plating, stunning decor, but food that often leans more towards presentation than depth of flavor. My Rajkot visit was quite similar. We started with the TSK Palak Chaat, crispy spinach leaves dressed up with chutneys, curd, sev, and pomegranate. It looked beautiful and the flavors were good, but it felt a bit heavy after a few bites. The Amritsari Paneer was one of the better dishes of the night, the paneer was fresh, soft, and well-marinated, paired nicely with the gravied base. Alongside, we ordered the Secret Roomali, which honestly wasn’t so “secret.” It was a green roomali roti coloured with spinach purée visually striking, but taste-wise, nothing extraordinary. The Reshmi Paratha on the other hand was quite flavorful on its own. Think of the triangle parathas your mom makes with layered folds, this one had great multiple layers too(similar to the puff pastry doughy thing), but what it lacked was that flaky crispness on top and bottom that makes you tear into it with joy. Finally, for dessert, we tried Chef Aanal’s Autograph. It’s presented with flair chocolate bowl, brownie crumble, vanilla ice cream, hot chocolate sauce poured dramatically on top. A great spectacle for kids and Instagram, but for adults looking purely at flavors, it’s essentially a brownie sundae in fancy plating. Definitely skippable unless you’re here for the show. Overall, Rajkot’s TSK continues the same vibe as Vadodara, a place that wins on ambience and presentation, but the food still has room to grow. Worth a visit if you’re curious, but go in with tempered expectations. Price per person: ₹800–1,000 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian
