We spent an evening here with friends and it was a delightful experience. The snacks were excellent, drinks were great and service was prompt and courteous. The food we had was Thai cuisine and each dish was hand crafted with love and care. A lot of vegetables and herbs are grown by Rita and Anmol in their own garden and that adds a personal touch to the flavours which were subtle yet exquisite. It was a wonderful meal. The ambience of Kalimpong Local is warm and inviting. Anmol has a wood fired room heater which is a sophisticated equivalent of a Bukhari and it keeps the whole place infused with comfort and warmth. Love the place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,600–1,800 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Dietary restrictions: They cater for all kinds of dietary requirements. An amazing place with a very relaxed and easy ambience. The involvement of the management and the staff is v clearly evident due to the detailing one has gone into. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Dietary restrictions: The chef is highly trained and accomplished and shd be able to meet the requirements. In case of special requirements a bit of notice should help . Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge street parking

I recently visited The Kalimpong Local, Bistro and enjoyed their cappuccino and drums of heaven. While the cappuccino was average, the drums of heaven were tasty (but could be better), although they took longer than expected to prepare. The waiter was exceptionally friendly, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. Overall, The Kalimpong Local, Bistro is a charming spot, but could improve on the speed of food preparation for a better dining experience. They also have a well-stocked bar offering a variety of drink options. It is a decent spot for a casual outing or catching up with friends. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
