First, the food is not 600 for two. It's way costlier and not worth the money. Their Semolina Crumble is such an underwhelming and unfairly overpriced dessert. Just a regular overpriced and underwhelming South Delhi Cafe.
I was thrilled to discover a Mediterranean gem, inspired by Instagram posts showcasing its culinary delights. Although my expectations soared, I wouldn't say the experience was disappointing, but rather an opportunity for growth. Delhi's limited options for authentic Mediterranean cuisine make this spot a promising find. On a Sunday evening, around 7:30 pm, we planned an iftar visit, only to find a cozy space with no available tables, leading to a half-hour wait. After ordering, another half-hour passed before the food arrived, prompting me to suggest that patrons order ahead to optimize their dining experience. A valuable suggestion for the restaurant would be to reassess the portion sizes, particularly for the mandi, where the rice portion seemed meager compared to the generous four pieces of chicken. Perhaps considering a more generous serving size would cater to the communal dining style often enjoyed in Arab cultures. Unfortunately, the mutton kebab's appearance and taste were misleading, resembling chicken instead, and it was disappointingly dry. On the other hand, the Chapli kebab, although not traditionally Mediterranean, was a juicy delight. To elevate the experience, consider offering complimentary hummus and tahini as side dishes. Nonetheless, I commend the owners for their hands-on approach, ensuring that every effort was made to send us home satisfied. TAMU, Delhi is easily one of the coziest cafés I’ve visited, with a warm ambience, comforting vibe, and truly excellent food. Their Middle Eastern menu is outstanding, and it’s rare to find places that serve freshly baked pita bread this good. The shawarma was incredibly flavorful and an absolute must try, and we loved the chocolate mousse as well, rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. A special mention to Tanya !!kudddos to her !!!!!! , who was a wonderful host. Her recommendations were spot on and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, a cozy atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. We drove from Chandigarh to test and Damnn Will definitely be coming back!
