However, a recent visit approximately two weeks prior to this review indicates a noticeable shift. The familiar presence of the original owners and long-serving wait staff was absent. Furthermore, the taste profile of the dishes differed significantly from past experiences. A previously appreciated aspect of the dining experience, the complimentary extra servings of sambhar and chutney, was no longer offered. While the restaurant holds a legacy of providing quality Tamil cuisine, recent observations suggest a potential change in management or operational standards that has impacted the food and service. Visited Hotel Swami Madras twice on 8th & 9th Jan 2025. Both the times we ordered Masala Dosa. First day it tasted good second time it was just average. We had tea coffee etc which were good. The ambience is very average good for persons looking for quick meal sans the ambience. It's in existence since last 30 years so just nostalgic Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
