This is one of 2 branches, the other one being next to Mohan Bhandar on Sayyaji Rao Road. The Samosa is the absolute favorite of the crowd here. Proper UP style with tasty masala that has a good choice of spices. Not too much chilly so kids can have as well - served mint chutney and tamarind chutney which taste good as well. All in all - Too good. They always serve it hot and you can find people buying in large quantity. So it keeps getting made and always fresh. My next favorite is the Vada Pav. It is not the typical Mumbai style one - in particular the Vada stuffing is different (not yellow but red). But Vada tastes awesome and is spicy. It you like to spicy you will likely enjoy. The peanut masala is also good. What I like about it is it is tasty and does not use garlic which is rare. In fact I don’t think they use garlic in any item here. I also like their Sev puri which has tangy chutneys. The jalebis are again prepared fresh and keep getting over. That is probably the second most sought after item here after samosa. Not to be missed. Other items are also good. They sometimes have gulab jamuns are it is soft, sweet and delicious. I have been visiting this place for more than 2 years. I used to think cheap and best is a contradiction. Not after I started visiting this shop though. You won’t believe the prices. They are the cheapest you can find and portions are large. Hygiene is good enough. I highly recommend this place. If you pass by Nazarbad (Mylari!) or even come close to the Zoo or Suburban bus stand in the evening (after 5 pm), it is worth adding a stop. Swagath Chats, Nazarbad. Visited this chat centre this evening where they prepare varities of chats. As a part of sweet dish, they prepare fresh jalebis too. I tried four items today. 1. Samosa - The filling inside the samosa was of great amount, it was stuffed well. Taste was at it's best as it was served hot. 2. Masala Puri - Quantity was great. It tasted really good. I really liked it more for the weather. 3. Cheese Vada Pav - Vada Pav was not too tasty not too bland. Stuffing inside it needed to be more is what I felt. Cheese was grated and put atop the pav, with that fried green chillies were put beside Vada Pav. That was quite attractive. 4. Jalebi. It was the tastiest. It was hot as they were deep frying just then. The sugar syrup was put perfectly. At the end, I felt it was worth visiting this place. It's definitely a pocket friendly place. Do visit!
