(4.5/5) Went for dinner with my family today at the newly opened Swadesi Rasoi, Halol, and it was a delightful experience worth sharing! Ambience & Design The place has a minimalist yet enchanting vibe — earthen walls with a village-like feel, beautifully decorated with traditional tribal art. It’s eye-soothing and gives you the warmth of rural India while keeping things classy and modern. Food Experience Tomato Soup – 4/5 (comforting & well-balanced) Papad – crisp and fresh starter Paneer Chilly – 3.5/5 (good, but can be perfected) Veg Clear Soup – 4/5 (not on the menu, but they happily served it!) Cheese Bhatlu (Rotla Pizza) – a must try! No need to drive 50 kms to Jambughoda Ravechi anymore, it’s right here in Halol now. For mains, I left the choice to Manager Arjunji, and he recommended Paneer Kadai with Tandoori Roti, Chapati, and Cheese Naan – and it turned out absolutely mouth-watering! Hospitality A big shout-out to Arjunji, Varunji, and the owners Gopalbhai & Parth. They were genuinely kind, attentive, and eager to hear suggestions. It’s rare to see this level of warmth and openness in service. Overall Impression The food is excellent, and the overall dining experience is truly refreshing for Halol. The real challenge ahead for the Swadesi Rasoi team will be to maintain consistency and polish a few small details. But for now – a big congratulations and best wishes to the SR team. Halol finally has a restaurant that blends tradition with taste, and I’ll surely be visiting again soon!
