Good ambience. But poor service, no professionalism. Simply a lady will throw food and we have to catch from other end of table. For three chappathi rs.90 (ninty rupees) they collected. Waste of money. Branded famous hotel collects Rs.45 per set, but here Rs.60 per set. Worst ever chappathi experience at this hotel. Horrible Experience at Hotel Suvai, Tiruchirappalli – Extremely Unhygienic and Disrespectful Staff I went to Hotel Suvai in Tiruchirappalli for lunch at around 2:30 PM, and it turned out to be a completely frustrating and disappointing experience. First, the server was extremely lethargic and unprofessional. He didn’t bother to attend to me properly and was busy taking orders from nearby tables, completely ignoring my presence. After a long wait, when I finally managed to call him, I ordered meals. He came after some time, placed the banana leaf and gave only sambar and rasam in cups — but no rice. I waited for more than 10 minutes just for rice, watching him roam around and serve others while ignoring me. After I raised my voice, he came and gave the rice. Other servers were at least providing items on time, but this person didn't even give buttermilk or appalam. I had to ask again, and after another long wait, I received the buttermilk. The food quality was very poor, and worst of all, the rice served had a hair in it. This is absolutely unhygienic and unacceptable. I refused the plate, and only then he replaced it. When I raised this serious hygiene issue with the owner(person in the cash counter), his attitude was shockingly rude and arrogant. Instead of being apologetic or even listening respectfully, he behaved as if it was my mistake. He showed zero customer respect and talked in a way that made me feel like I was begging for food. It felt like he was treating customers worse than dogs. He was dismissive and even said things like “5 rupees kamiya kuduthu pona madiri,” which was insulting. This is not just about slow service — it's about basic hygiene, customer respect, and restaurant ethics, all of which were completely missing here. Do not visit Hotel Suvai, Tiruchirappalli if you care about clean food, good service, or basic dignity as a customer. Strongly not recommended.
