Tasty fish are among the dishes to be tried at Sunset Travel Cafe. Ordering the great coffee is a good choice. There is a great view from this place. The success of this spot wouldn't be possible without the professional staff. Terrific service is something that people highlight in their comments. The charming atmosphere is to be found here. But Sunset Travel Cafe is not highly appreciated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

A Disastrous Experience I had high hopes when I visited **sunset travel cafe by NIHAR ON THE GANGES**, a rooftop café and resort located in **Sodepur, Kolkata**, but unfortunately, the experience turned out to be a complete nightmare. Starting with the **food**, it was absolutely **substandard and inedible**. The **noodles** were made from **cheap local ingredients**, drenched in **stale-smelling oil**, and lacked any freshness or flavor. The worst offender was the **"Fish and Chips"** – an utter disaster. The **fish was clearly stale**, giving off a **raw, unpleasant odor**, and tasted like it had been stored improperly for days. It was hard to believe this dish was being served at such **exorbitant prices**, which were **comparable to a 5-star restaurant**, despite the food being worse than what you'd get at a roadside stall. The **location** of this place is equally disappointing. It is situated in a **narrow, congested area** where **access by car is nearly impossible**. To make matters worse, the behavior of **locals near the property was shockingly aggressive** – using **slangs, shouting**, and even **threatening physical violence** when we tried to navigate through the area. Due to the **terrible food quality**, we had to **return the dishes**, and the **staff showed no remorse or sense of responsibility**. The place lacked basic hospitality, and the overall vibe was far from what one would expect from a café or resort claiming to offer a pleasant riverside experience. In conclusion, **Nihar on the Ganges** was one of the **worst dining and hospitality experiences** I’ve ever had. I **strongly advise against visiting** this place.
