This was an awesome restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious, the service was good and quick and the vibe is cool and old school, if you want a quite place to eat and just chill this is the place 10/10 would definitely recommend. Established in 1981, this is one of the oldest restaurants in Guwahati. I recently revisited Sunflower Restaurant after many years, and I'm delighted to report that the taste remains consistently excellent. My cousin sister and I used to frequent this restaurant, and our go-to order was always the mouth-watering Chicken Afghani with Paneer Fried Rice. I reordered the same dish, and the flavors were just as impressive as I remembered. The restaurant boasts an extensive selection of veg and non-vegetarian items, and I appreciate that they serve halal food. Pulao and Biryani lovers may try mutton pulao, chicken pulao etc. and mutton hyderabadi biryan, chicken dum biryani. Staff is also very good and helpful. However, there were a few drawbacks during my recent visit: 1. The washroom is inconveniently attached to the toilet, which can be uncomfortable for some patrons. 2. The waiting time after placing an order was longer than expected. 3. The prices are slightly higher than I'd like. Despite these issues, Sunflower Restaurant remains a great dining option, especially for those seeking delicious halal food. With some improvements in amenities and service efficiency, this restaurant could easily earn a perfect score.
