Nestled on the third floor of Subhagraha Apartments, near the AG metro station in Chennai's Teynampet area, Sultan Biryani offers a no-frills dining experience focused on Indian cuisine. While specific details about the menu remain limited, it is clear that biryani has captured the hearts of past patrons, creating memorable experiences over a decade ago. Known for its appealingly affordable pricing, this destination promises to satisfy those seeking a taste of traditional Indian flavors.
Though the restaurant once left a lasting impression, evoking thoughts of home-cooked meals and old-world charm, it's worth noting that the missing recent reviews pose a challenge for potential diners looking for contemporary feedback. Unfortunately, there have been no updates or new insights from the restaurant's management. Despite this, Sultan Biryani remains accessible to curious food lovers during its weekend hours from Friday to Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
While we can't know for sure how Sultan Biryani matches up with today's standards, it undoubtedly holds a nostalgic spot for some, marking a journey filled with culinary significance. Given the absence of fresh insights, visiting may offer a trip down memory lane for previous visitors or a leap into the unknown for first-timers. A cautious approach is recommended, keeping in mind the establishment's historical rather than current reputation.
The first thing that pops into my head when I think of food is BRIYANI. I'm an ardent fan of briyani. I've had all kinds of briyani in all sorts of places and in weird conditions (incl one during an earthquake in Nepal). I couldn't let go of that LEG piece. Sultan Briyani is one of my top favorites and I've been hogging their briyani since high school (10 years and counting). What I really like about their briyani is, its personal. It's got your mom's love and it's ingredients are from a different era probably 1800's. Oh man! You have no idea. I'm so happy now that you all can understand what I've been through every time I've had their briyani and people ask me- "Oh, you look so content in life. How?" Give them a call and experience something you've never experienced before. RIGHT NOW!
