I am a huge Japanophile, but this is my first time japanese eating food. I tried the chicken teriyaki bowl but came away with very meh conlusions. The teriyaki sauce was sweet and full of umami, (acquired taste hmm) if you order teriyaki do it with the egg or other addon maybe it will taste better. The chicken was rather stiff and didnt have that pan freshness to it, also tasted rather chickeny? (lol). Not much in the way of aromatics. No green onion, ginger, garlic to be found. chicken and veggie quantity is not filling enough for a bowl imo. you should get the regular bowl, the rice should be enough. The rice looked nice and sticky, photogenic rice. If you are new to Japanese cuisine, I suggest going with the safer options like chicken katsu sets and karaage.
