I recently visited Stories Cafe, an in-house bungalow-style cafe, and unfortunately, my experience was not as expected. The cafe itself is quite small which is not necessarily a problem, but the ambiance felt old and worn out. The decor and overall vibe of the place felt old, which made the space feel less inviting than it should have been. One of the most concerning aspects was the cleanliness, or rather the lack of it. The cafe did not appear well-maintained, and the hygiene was subpar. The floors and tables seemed to be poorly cleaned, which gave an overall impression of neglect. Another issue was with the plates and utensils. The plates were visibly old, with cracks and chips, which is not something you’d expect in any cafe, especially when it comes to dining experiences. It definitely took away from the overall appeal of the place. On a positive note, the food itself was good. The flavors were tasty, and the menu had some decent options. However, given the condition of the space, the plates, and the overall lack of cleanliness, I’m afraid I won’t be visiting again.
