DO NOT STAY HERE – IT’S A SCAM, A HEALTH HAZARD, AND POSSIBLY HAUNTED. Sterling Gangtok Orange Village is hands-down one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever endured. Let’s break it down. First, location: it’s way too far from MG Market or any other point of interest. You’ll spend a fortune and waste hours just trying to get into town. Second, and this is truly disturbing — the rooms were infested with mold and even had mushrooms growing inside the walls. When I raised a complaint, instead of conducting a deep clean or offering a new room, the staff casually scraped off the mushrooms and, shockingly, sent them to the dining team. Yes. You read that right. Basic amenities were non-existent. No hair dryer, no comb, no proper toiletries — and forget about that “luxurious spa” they advertise all over the place. It doesn’t exist. It’s a complete lie. A classic bait-and-switch. The food? Horrendous. I got food poisoning every single day of my stay. The menu was monotonous, bland, and clearly made with zero care for hygiene or taste. When I asked for alternatives, the staff either ignored me or acted confused, like I was the problem. Service was either utterly unprofessional or just didn’t exist. The few staff who were present seemed either overwhelmed or apathetic — nothing was delivered on time, and even the basics required constant chasing. Now, here’s the part that made me genuinely concerned for my safety and sanity: the place feels haunted. I experienced relentless nightmares and absolutely could not sleep. To top it off, the doorbell rang every night at exactly 3 AM — and when I checked, there was no one outside. No footsteps, no CCTV explanation, nothing. It was terrifying. In summary: Dangerous living conditions Health risks from food and mold No amenities or advertised features Scam-like customer service Possibly haunted DO NOT fall for the Instagram aesthetics or fake reviews. Stay far away from Sterling Gangtok Orange Village. This isn’t just a bad hotel — it’s a horror show.
