Steakhouse est 1963, also known as The Gourmet Food Store Delhi, is a dining spot specializing in steakhouse cuisine. Situated on Jor Bagh Market, the restaurant finds its location convenient for commuters, right near the Central Secretariat metro station. Despite its potential accessibility, this establishment is not widely featured in popular restaurant directories, with only minimal online presence found on platforms like Facebook.
However, available visitor reviews paint a less than stellar image of the customer service experience, particularly regarding product quality and staff interaction. Criticism has emerged from instances such as receiving expired goods, pointing to possible lapses in inventory management. The response from the staff in these situations was noted as lacking empathy and professionalism, though ultimately resolved by higher management under pressure. Keep in mind, the most recent feedback dates back two years, leaving current standards somewhat uncertain. It operates six days a week from Monday to Saturday, closing by late evening at 7:30 PM, but further details about any changes or developments remain unspecified.
Absolutely nothing. It’s been years since I had gone to steakhouse because the staff is always rude. Anyway I thought it’s so convenient right next to my house might as well go there. Of course it was a BIG MISTAKE, they sold me 1 month expired old feta cheese. When I went back to tell them after spending one hour making my pasta an apology was the last thing on the man’s mind. In fact he actually told me it was my fault for not checking. I’m so sorry I expected a store not to be selling expired goods! It’s the minimum expectation one carries as a customer! This man was literally hounding me and didn’t in the least think he should be apologetic. Finally after I said I’m going to file a formal complaint the owner (I’m assuming) stepped in and I got my cheese and pasta replaced which was nice. Literally this man shouldn’t be in a store. Also PLEASE YOU CHECK YOUR PRODUCTS BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS SICK. Thank god I just took a bite.
I'm disappointedly writing this today...had a bad experience after buying 500 kg of honey glazed ham on Friday evening. We opened the packet on Saturday morning at breakfast just to find out that the ham was smelling and is bad in taste. Even today I received a message from my father whom I had given some of the ham and he also said not to eat the ham as it was smelling bad. Inspite of telling the salesman to give fresh ham, he cheated and gave me a bad product which costs me Rs. 972/-. ????
Update:
I've been visiting steakhouse since more than 20 yrs and glad to get a prompt and generous solution by the owners. Rare few in India acknowledge and give refunds. Much appreciated for helping in this genuine case. Good luck.
