This is a very mediocre restaurant and among a few that are located bang opposite our campus. They have a variety of items featured on their menu, ranging from Mughlai, Chinese and South Indian dishes. The regional cuisine is served on banana leaves (unless you request for a plate).
For the price, the quantity is good - one portion is sufficient for 2 adults. However, the quality has tremendous scope for improvement - besides the excess oil, they have some secret ingredient that is a recipe for heartburn / acid reflux so feel free to order any of the Mughlai / Chinese dishes at your own risk!
Having said that, they definitely score brownie points as far as their service quality is concerned - their staff is very friendly and prompt (orders never take more than 10-15 mins) and they are always "going the extra mile" when it comes to good customer service!
Overall;
Ambience: 3/5
Service: 4.5/5
Food: 3/5
Hygiene: 3/5
Value for Money: 3.5/5
Worth a visit for the traditional meal on a banana leaf!
So status has always been my ‘go to’ place when it comes to craving for Andra style food mostly because of the proximity to this place and some young age sentiments attached.
However, when I visited the place after a long time, I must say I was rather disappointed with the ambiance (no maintainance- very unkept) and non-availability of the items in the menu. The waiter was nice enough to make something available but I wasn’t really contented.
