DO NOT COME HERE if witnessing animal cruelty upsets you. This beach has a lot of sweet and friendly dogs known to all the locals here. But as we sat at the shack, we witnessed a kid throw something towards the dogs, frightening them and they barked at the kid as a natural response. The child of course got scared and started crying. The dogs and child got scared but nothing at all happened. However one staff member eagerly came out with a stick once everyone had calmed down and HIT a random DOG very hard. I told him to not do that as his behavior will make the dogs aggressive and they in fact in this situation were not and he just tried to give me some BS explanation about “defending” his customers. We were all very upset witnessing this. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This is our second year eating here exclusively. Mojes is the best Goan chef on the beach. Fresh and delicious food and juices. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My experience at Star fish beach shack, Arossim Beach was absolutely horrible and deeply disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Indian customers are treated as second-class guests here. We politely asked for a beachside bed and were told it was fully occupied. We specifically requested the staff to inform us if any bed became available, which they acknowledged (very reluctantly). However, the reality was shocking. A foreign couple arrived AFTER us, and suddenly a beach bed “magically” became available — and was immediately offered to them. Despite repeatedly asking the staff and waiting patiently, we were completely ignored. This is not poor service — this is clear favoritism and discrimination. The staff was: -Rude and dismissive -Avoiding eye contact when Indians asked questions -Constantly hovering around foreign guests -Completely unresponsive and unapologetic They don’t answer properly, they don’t respect Indian customers, and they clearly prioritize foreigners regardless of who arrives first. If you are Indian, be prepared to be ignored, sidelined, and disrespected. Strongly NOT recommended. Save your money, your time, and your self-respect — and go elsewhere. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
