If you are hungry after gazing at Bandra Station, Western Railway, visit this cafe to have a meal. Nicely cooked strawberry chicken, mozzarella and Baked potatoes will impress you at the first bite. It's time to try tasty berry cakes, olive pastry and white chocolate mousse. Great iced coffee, red tea or apple tea are the best drinks of Star Anise Patisserie.

Went to this cute looking cafe one evening, tried the Ferrero Rocher and Nutella Shake. It was delicious! Also has an Espresso which was impressive too. The cafe is really small and can't accommodate a lot of people at a time. The staff is really efficient.

The name of the place is a nice wordplay. Somebody had suggested this place, and after looking it up on zomato, we decided to visit. We were looking forward to the Gardenia pastry and the mushroom and pepper petit. Once there, we were informed that the menu is under constant revision and that the petit wasn't availabe. The cake was only available to be pre-ordered. Most of the jams and preserves needed to be pre-ordered as well. The store makes extra units when they have an order for jams and if your'e lucky, you can buy it across the counter . A little disheartened, I decided to give the Ferrero rocher pastry a try. The person at the counter informed me that it had a mousse layer that sat atop a cake layer. When I dug into it, I noticed that it was infact fudgy pastry which absolutely didn't fit the employee's description. Also, it seems to me that for some reason this place chooses to not update their menu on zomato, something I didn't appreciate either.
The blueberry cheesecake was nice. I find that some places make their cheesecakes on the sweet side and I was pleasantly surprised that this one wasn't. The lemon and blueberry cake was an innovative combination that I hadn't tried earlier.The decor is pretty but the tables are very close to each other. I hope they get more seating space soon!

Update: The spiced mango and kaffir lime jam that I bought expires on 6th December 2017. When I opened the jar on 22nd November, it already had a considerable amount of mould :(
