Horrible service they completely forgot about my order and took over 45 mins just to deliver a toast. No apology, no urgency, nothing. Just blank faces and slow service. If this is how they treat customers, I honestly don’t know how they’re still running.

Visited Stand By Coffee, Worli on a Sunday after a lovely walk at the Coastal Road promenade, but the experience completely spoiled the mood. The café was in a rush hour, which we understood, but the service was extremely slow and unorganized. We ordered a green tea and a toast and sat right in front of the counter. Even after repeatedly reminding the counter boy and the chef—who were right in front of us—nothing was prepared on time. The toast came after 25 minutes, and the green tea arrived 20 minutes later, only when we got frustrated and asked them to either make it immediately or refund us. By then, the toast had already gone cold. Another disappointing part was that while placing the order, they didn’t inform us that service charge would be added. Only after paying did we notice it on the bill. We didn’t say anything at that moment because who wants to run back for a small amount while trying to enjoy the day—but the experience that followed made it feel unfair. When we finally gave our feedback, the staff (possibly the owner) responded casually with just a “thanks for the feedback” and showed no concern. Because of the poor service and attitude, we asked them to remove the ₹30 service charge—not for the amount, but because the service truly didn’t justify it. I don’t recommend visiting this café on Sundays, and based on this experience, I’m unsure about other days too. This visit really ruined what could have been a great end to a beautiful walk.
