Located right on the main road of Basavanagar (Vignananagar), Sri Udupi Satkar stands out as a solid breakfast option. While the surrounding area can be crowded and a bit polluted, this eatery is impressively clean and hygienic. We tried the masala dosa, which was crisp and freshly made, with a flavorful potato filling. The idli-sambar was excellent — soft idlis paired with a well-balanced sambar that wasn’t overly sweet (a common issue elsewhere). It definitely felt light and easy on the stomach. The Mangalore bun was also enjoyable. Prices are reasonable, and the food quality makes it worth a visit. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for a quick and satisfying breakfast. I haven’t tried the lunch/dinner options yet, they’re probably good too. If you’re in the neighborhood or passing through, this is a great stop for a quick bite or a cup of coffee. However, it is to be noted that it can potentially get houseful over the weekends and that parking can be an issue.
