Review: Shree Ramdev Dhaba Shree Ramdev Dhaba is one of those places you visit mainly for the food, not the ambience. It looks like a typical old-school dhaba on the Tiruppur highway—nothing fancy, not very clean, and definitely not the place you go for a “dining experience.” But when it comes to taste, especially if you love North Indian or Rajasthani-style vegetarian food, they usually deliver. Their rotis are the highlight—bajra roti, tukar roti, and especially the ghee roti. You can actually feel the difference because they use their own ghee, and the flavours are quite authentic. The green peas curry, kadai paneer, stuffed parotta, and jeera rice are some of the favourites. Even small things like their ghee-fried green chilli add a nice touch. Starters like churma and pakoras are also really good. The food is on the spicier side, so it’s better to mention if you want it mild. Ending with their chaach (buttermilk) is a smart idea unless you want to feel the heat later. Service, unfortunately, is where this place struggles. Sometimes no one even notices you for a while, and the waiting time to get your order taken or the food served can be long. The atmosphere is very rustic, and cleanliness is not their strong point. While many long-time customers feel the taste has stayed consistently good for years, some recent visitors say the quality has dropped—complaints about average gravies, bad lassi, and overall reduced standards have started showing up. A few people even felt misled by influencer promotions and were disappointed after travelling long distances. Overall - If you love authentic Rajasthani/North Indian vegetarian food, especially rotis made the traditional way, you’ll probably enjoy this place. But go with realistic expectations—great flavours on good days, slow service, spicy food, and a very basic dhaba setup.
