Talk about "turning tables". We were enroute to the airport and what a grand finale it was for meals when we landed at hotel Sree Sabarees. We first visited their AC section upstairs, but given it was lunch time and we had a flight to catch, no luck! So we went downstairs and managed to sneak a couple of seats sharing with a sweet couple of aunties across from us! We ordered the meals and they were served on fresh banana leaves adding to the experience. Simply superb with a lovely array of vegetables and curries. I hadn't tasted a couple of the vegetables either, which made it all the more unique. No one to ask either, so it will remain a mystery until I happen to visit again. Highly recommended if you are in Madurai or heading to the airport - just keep plenty of time to find a seat! (And make sure to purchase your ticket at the counter before you are seated).
