As a tour operator, Sree Ariya Bhavan is one of those restaurants I’m genuinely happy to recommend to my groups. It’s conveniently close to the Brihadeshwara Temple, so it makes for a very easy food stop while exploring Thanjavur. The restaurant is upstairs, with a little mart downstairs selling sweets and other goodies, obviously, that became another stop! I tried their Dhivya Bojanam Thali and honestly… what a feast. It’s unlimited, delicious and comes with enough food to make you question your appetite halfway through. Lunch can get crazy busy with almost an hour’s wait, and they don’t take reservations, so come early. But for the thali alone, I’d happily go back.
