I recently dined at Spice and Rice, and while there were definitely some positives, a few aspects left room for improvement. Starting with the good—the food was tasty, especially the biryani. The portion size is quite generous, easily enough for one and a half persons. The ambience is ok, making it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy your meal. A big plus is the parking availability, which is convenient on both sides of the road—something you don’t find easily in many places. However, there are a couple of areas that really need attention. The air conditioning was below par—it barely made a difference, especially during peak hours. For an indoor dine-in experience, this should be a basic comfort. More importantly, the attitude of the waiters was disappointing. They weren’t polite or welcoming, which can really take away from an otherwise good experience. Hospitality matters, and this is an area where the management needs to step up and train the staff better. For future customers: Great food and portions. Comfortable ambience and easy parking. Be prepared for poor service and warm air indoors. Don’t expect friendly staff—unfortunately, it’s a letdown. Hope the restaurant works on improving its service standards because the food really deserves better support.
