One Star – “Southern Taste” with Zero Attention to Detail Ordered from Southern Taste with one very clear request: pack all chutneys and accompaniments separately. Simple. Basic. Standard practice in any half-decent restaurant. What did I receive? Everything dumped together in one box, turning what should have been distinct flavors into a soggy, confused mess. Chutneys mixed, accompaniments drowned, texture ruined. If this is how instructions are treated, it makes one seriously question what other basics are being ignored in the kitchen. This isn’t about taste alone—it’s about care, professionalism, and respect for the customer’s request. When diners take the time to give clear instructions and the restaurant can’t be bothered to follow them, it shows a complete lack of attention and accountability. “Southern Taste” may get the name right, but it clearly misses the essence of South Indian food—precision, balance, and presentation.
