I recently visited Soul Restaurant at Hotel Lilac for dinner and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience—both with the food and the service. The Paneer Tikka Lababdar was especially bad: the gravy was overly thick and lacked any real flavor. The Soya Chaap was equally poor, which was surprising given the consistently better quality at other branches of this restaurant chain. The Pani Puri also tasted stale, adding to the overall dissatisfaction. Service was extremely slow, and when I politely informed the waiter about the issues with the Paneer Lababdar, he showed zero concern. There was no apology, no acknowledgment—nothing. I wasn’t looking for a refund, but a basic level of courtesy would have been appreciated. As someone who has had good experiences with other outlets of the Amar Punjabi chain, this visit was deeply disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not recommend dining at this location.
