I used to be a regular here and decided to visit again while in Jorhat. The place has been revamped and feels more lively, yet it still retains the charm that made me keep coming back. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the menu as many of my favorite items were crossed off. I ordered the thukpa, which used to be my go-to comfort food with friends after work. However, it wasn’t the same. The soup was sweet and tangy, more like American chop suey gravy with ketchup, instead of the dark brown meaty, peppery flavor I loved. It also had very little chicken and veggies, and the noodles were broken into small pieces, making it difficult to eat. I felt, for the first time here, that it was not worth the money. While the food let me down this time, I’ll give it another shot in a few days and try a different dish, hoping for a better experience.
