Swagat has been a trusted name in our family for years. We tried this branch on 7th Feb 2025. Good was ok. The Indianised sushi Dynamite was quite tasty. We also ordered Chettinad boneless mutton, rice, beer dosa. Portions are ok, food is fairly tasty. What left a terrible taste in the mouth was an addition of Rs 250 service tax on the bill. When questioned, the argument was that it’s mentioned in the menu. The whole point of the practice being unlawful simply didn’t register on the manager. Wonder why we have this obsession in us to scam customers at every step. These shortcuts. It’s terrible. The fish ordered was stale, smelly and not eatable( pomfret) despite mentioning this the answer was fish always smells . The Manchurian chicken was full of chilli powder despite asking for low spiced . Overall a waste of money. I spent more than 3500 whereas I could have a better experience in 2k with similar dishes .No wonder all seats are empty on a Sunday afternoon. Will not advise anyone to go here. Also they will not take off service charge as if they have mandated it by mentioning it in menu. Avoid at all cost.
