I recently visited Shree Udupi Vaibhava, located at 191, Chinmaya Mission Hospital Road, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, and opted for their North Indian meal. Unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming, especially considering the reputation of this restaurant for its South Indian cuisine. While the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and the service was prompt, the North Indian meal lacked the authenticity and flavor one would expect. The dishes seemed bland, and the spices that are quintessential to North Indian cuisine were either missing or not balanced well. The dal felt watery, and the paneer dish was overly creamy without a distinctive taste. Even the rotis were a bit chewy, suggesting they were not freshly made. For a meal priced on the higher side, the overall quality did not justify the cost. The portion sizes were decent, but the flavors were a major letdown. It seems that Shree Udupi Vaibhava excels primarily in its South Indian offerings, and the North Indian meals are not their forte. If you are looking for an authentic South Indian dining experience, this place might be worth a visit. However, I wouldn't recommend it for North Indian cuisine, especially given the premium pricing.
