We had high expectations from Kylin, but unfortunately, the food fell short. Every dish we ordered had an overpoweringly sweet taste, as if excessive white sugar had been added. When we inquired, one of the staff members honestly admitted that extra sugar is intentionally added for taste. While it’s true that some Asian cuisines, like Thai food, can have a sweet profile, even the dim sum here tasted unusually sweet—which was quite unexpected. The combination of MSG (Ajinomoto) and sugar in nearly every dish is concerning from a health standpoint. We strongly believe that restaurants should disclose such ingredients upfront either on the menu or by informing the customers directly. With increasing awareness around the harmful effects of sugar, adding it unnecessarily to every dish is not a responsible choice. We hope Kylin takes this feedback seriously and considers making their cooking style more balanced and transparent. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹2,000+

we visited shophouse by kylin for dinner and it's safe to say we had a great time. the ramen was rich with flavor, the sushi delicious and the bao equally delectable. and what's better? we even got treated to a complimentary dessert:)) must visit spot with lovely ambience and helpful staff.
