I booked a 2-night stay at Hotel Shingar for my parents on the occasion of my father’s birthday, and overall they had a very pleasant experience. The hotel staff was welcoming, polite, and especially helpful considering my parents are senior citizens. The room was very well maintained, clean, and comfortable. I had booked a package including breakfast and dinner, and according to my father, the food was delicious. The dinner was served hot and freshly prepared based on the time my parents requested, which was a very thoughtful touch. I would also like to appreciate the hotel staff for arranging a birthday cake on my request and making the occasion special for my father. The only area where improvement is needed is luggage assistance. Since the hotel is located on Mall Road, cabs cannot directly reach the property, and guests need to use stairs to access the hotel. For senior citizens carrying luggage, the hotel should ideally provide complimentary luggage handling support. After multiple requests, a porter was arranged, but an additional charge of ₹120 was taken, which did not feel appropriate considering the overall stay cost of around ₹14,000 for 2 nights. Apart from this, the stay experience was very good and memorable for my parents.

Overall good experience at the hotel. The biggest advantage is its excellent location right on Mall Road, which makes it very convenient for shopping and exploring nearby attractions. The view from the hotel room was absolutely beautiful and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel staff was very humble, friendly, and cooperative. Their service was prompt and they made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. However, there is some room for improvement in the food quality. While the menu offers a decent variety, the taste can be enhanced. Also, the food prices are quite high and above the average market rate, which could be reconsidered. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with great location and service, but improvements in food quality and pricing would make the experience even better. Service: 5
