This place is permanently closed now. But when it was functional it had some of the best food in the city, especially the beef items. The beef momos they served here were the best momos I've ever had in my life. Hope they reopen someday. Edit: First review written on: 06/06/2018, 10:08 am It feels good when I see people from my favorite Hills are doing startups here in my city. After The Whistling Kettle, and Mamamomo (in collaboration with Bonisha from TWK), another place has opened in Kolkata. Shim Shim is right up my alley. Tibetan foods, Nepali items, you name it, they have it. With the authentic hilly taste. Nothing much to say about the food items. Those are just fantastic. Choose any item, you won't be disappointed. So genial is the staff also. Everyone from my favorite Hills is so cordial. A photo of HH Dalai Lama the XIV will keep blessing you from every corner of this 16 seater restaurant. A huge wallpaper of Potala Palace adorns one side. The other sides are decorated with photos and holy signs from Tibet and Vajrayan Buddhism. Card payment is not accepted, but Paytm is there. All prices are inclusive of GST. All meat items are halal items. They chose a peculiar location for a Tibetan-Chinese-Nepali restaurant! Only gripe is that they close at 4 pm and reopen at 5. And they remain closed on the last Sunday of the month.
