According to the clients' reviews, Chinese dishes here are tasty. Don't forget to enjoy nicely cooked butter chicken, tandoori roti and tandoori naan at Sher -E- Punjab. Tasting the great masala chai is a decent idea.

The success of this place wouldn't be possible without the gracious staff. Cool service is something that visitors note in their comments. Prices are found fair here.

Rating: - 0/5 WARNING: ABSOLUTE GARBAGE & A HEALTH HAZARD!Let me be crystal clear: Sher-e-Punjab Dhaba in Kolaghat is a complete SCAM. This place might have been decent years ago, but right now? It is spectacularly overhyped TRASH ️. It is nothing but a tourist trap designed to rob you of your hard-earned money.1. The Ambience is VOMIT INDUCING I hope you like the aroma of raw sewage with your meal! The entire dining area reeks of drainage. Trying to swallow food while inhaling that putrid stench made me want to vomit right onto the plate . It is suffocating.2. Hygiene? WHAT HYGIENE? One glance at their kitchen will scar you for life. It is FILTHY. We literally watched a staff member drop a bowl on the DIRTY GROUND and immediately put it back to serve another customer. Are you kidding me?! Even the food stalls over open drains outside hospitals are cleaner than this cesspool.3. Staff Behaviour: RUDE & CREEPY The arrogance is unbelievable. Their attitude is strictly "Eat or get lost." Service took decades: We aged waiting for the food.Zero Customization: You want Roti in your thali instead of rice? NO. They are too lazy to accommodate even the simplest request. Creepy Hovering: The waiters have ZERO etiquette. They stand right next to the table, staring down at your plate like vultures waiting for a carcass . It makes you want to run away.4. The Food is an INSULT to Cuisine Chicken Thali: Tasted like boiled water made for sick patients . Zero flavor, zero spice. We didn't even touch the curry.Veg Thali = A JOKE: The vegetable curry looked like they swept the kitchen floor and cooked whatever they found. One person found a soybean, another found pumpkin, another papaya. ‍ What the heck was that?! It was a mystery mix of leftovers.5. DAYLIGHT ROBBERY The pricing is DELUSIONAL. They charged ₹215 (+ GST) for a thali that isn't worth ₹70. Total Bill: ₹1647 — I honestly felt like I would have enjoyed myself more if I had just taken that money and set it on FIRE .VERDICT: DO NOT STOP HERE. DO NOT EAT HERE.This place is burning a hole in your pocket for unhygienic, tasteless slop served by rude people in a smelly environment. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Well, when I hear of people driving even upto 500 kms for dining here - that too from neighbouring States or cities, they appear as lunatics to me, considering the time, energy and costs they incur. However, when I myself got to visit them, I realized they weren't wrong. After my best friends drove me some 100 kms to this place, I realized that the hype is worth it. We waited half an hour only to get a super cramped 4 seater in their ac restaurant but nevertheless were content. They do have non ac seating as well but that's for another day. Service here is fast and staff trained and knowledgeable. We started off with their veg tandoori aloo and paneer tikka. While these dishes were very expensive, the portions were commendable and taste was just moocho moollah! They were well complimented by the mint sauce and salad. For mains, we had their signature dal makhani, veg pulao, roasted papad, masala onion lachcha (chargeable), malai kofta, mushroom masala, pudina lachcha paratha, butter naan, masala kulcha, tandoori roti (butter), tandoori roti (plain), palak paneer and raita.I personally consider their mushrooms and paneer better than their signature dal, breads and rice were no less though. Raita was below expectations and we had to discard the same, rest all dishes just left us finger licking.Portions for their mains were average but food quality, taste, presentation etc were rocking. Overall, a memorable experience. Really looking forward to another visit. Cheers!

Some call it overhyped, others overpriced but the packed tables and growing empire around this iconic eatery speak for themselves. We visited on a Sunday and had both breakfast and lunch there.Breakfast:- Special Tea- Chole Khulche- Keema Paratha- Chicken Egg Club SandwichLunch:- Tandoori Chicken- Lassoni Kebabs- Dal Makhani- Reshmi Chicken Butter Masala- Special Mutton- Butter Garlic Naan & Laccha ParathaGetting a table was a challenge, and the starters took a while, but they were good enough for seconds. The main course arrived quicker and had rich, authentic dhaba-style flavors that paired perfectly with the breads. Prices are on the higher side, and while the food may not be groundbreaking, it’s undeniably tasty and worth a stop on your road trip.
