Hidden Flavors in a Tight Corner – A Bite at Shashi Vadewale If you ever find yourself wandering down the bustling lanes of Panvel, follow the scent of sizzling oil and spicy chutney—it’ll lead you straight to this small, no-frills snacks corner that locals swear by. Let’s talk about the star of the stall first—Vada Pav. It’s not just food here; it’s an emotion. Crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, and paired with just the right hit of spicy chutney and fried green chili, this Vada Pav is the crowd-puller. It’s no surprise that people from nearby offices and colleges queue up here—even if they have to squeeze in elbow-to-elbow. But if you’re the kind who likes to discover underrated gems, don’t miss their Bajiya. Hot, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned—these golden fritters might not get the limelight, but trust me, they deserve their own fan following. Now, about the place itself—well, let’s just say it values taste over space. It’s congested, often crowded, and you might have to stand and eat. But in a way, that adds to the charm. The chaos, the aroma, the chatter—this place feels alive. The service? It’s decent. Don’t expect a smile and a welcome mat, but your order will come out hot and quick, which is exactly what you need when you're craving a quick bite. In short: come for the Vada Pav, stay for the Bajiya, and forgive the space. Your taste buds will thank you. This is one of the oldest street vendors in the neighborhood, having begun with Vade Pav and Moong Baji on the side of the road along Panvel Highway in the mid-1990s. Their street food became well-known for its unique taste in Vade, different kinds of Baji's, and its special Green & Garlic Chutney. They are now doing well at their new store, which offers table seating, close to their previous street location. I keep going back to try their delectable Special Moong Baji. One of the Panvel's tastiest Vada Paav location. The shop opens at 08:00 AM approax in the morning & it is operational / open till evening 07:00 PM / 07:30 PM. Taste is too good especially the green chutney served with vada paav. One can have mocktails also in the evening. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
