After a long walk around Wankhar Entomology Museum, go to this restaurant and have a rest here. Vegetarian cuisine is to the pleasure of all guests here. But google users rated Sharma Bhojnalaya and it didn't earn a high rating.

Rajasthani Veg Thali - Rs.130 Sharma Bhojnalaya, Umsohsun, Shillong Rajasthani Veg cuisine $ 07.07.24 After the wonderful Pooris from Swad, I walked 5mins & found myself in Sharma Bhojnalaya at Umsohsun. Now I did visit this place last week but since I reached after church, it was closed. Today I'm here at noon. This place has always been of interest to me. It's a veg Marwari place whose signboard I've seen ever since I could read one. I climbed up the stairs to the restaurant & found myself in the company of a couple of elderly men enjoying their meals. I asked the waiter what was available & he said thali. Now since I was still half full from the Pooris, I asked him if he could give me just rotis & he replied that rotis & rice is unlimited. I was happy to hear that. 5mins later my thali came. It had 2 pieces of Ghee Rotis, Dal, Kadhi, Aloo Banda Gobhi sabji, Bikaneri style Moong Dal Mangodi & achaar. Now this looked really appetizing even though I just ate. The rotis were decent quality but the ghee definitely upped the game. The kadhi was light, slightly sour & very tasty. The dal was seasoned well & good. The aloo banda gobhi was tasty but had more aloo than gobhi. And the Moong Dal Mangodi was surprisingly very tasty. I've eaten other marwari veg dishes like gatte ke sabji but this dish is a first for me. It's like adding those savoury fried snacks that we Khasis call "eit paro" to a curry. I was impressed with the overall meal. I didn't ask for rice though I guess a papad would have come with it. This is an unlimited tasty veg thali definitely worth every paise. Pure veg but not much cleanliness. Shree Monani Marwari Bhojanalaya is better.
The price of Thali in Sharma Bhojanalaya is Rs. 130 (unlimited) and in Shree Monani Marwari Bhojanalaya is Rs. 120 (4 Rotis and rice with 2 sabzi and daal papad) and some other options are also here.
