Visited Hotel Shalimar, Perambur, and the experience was quite average overall. The food quality was not good, though the cost was affordable and the rice quantity was sufficient for two people, which is probably the only positive. The chilli chicken was disappointing, lacking the authentic flavour—there was no hint of soy sauce or spice, and the chicken wasn’t even properly coated and fried, making it taste bland and incomplete. The garlic naan was another letdown, as it completely missed the garlic flavour. Overall, this place feels very average, with inconsistent taste and poor execution. It might work if you’re just looking for a budget-friendly, filling meal, but don’t expect quality or authentic flavours.
