1/5 — Absolutely Disgusting! This so-called restaurant in Almora was suggested by the Durga Homestay owner, and it was a complete nightmare. The whole place stank of alcohol and drunk people, making it unbearable. We ordered a veg thali, but the chana sabji had paneer pieces and tasted like mutton — utterly disgusting and offensive for vegetarians. The dal was stale and inedible. After eating, I suffered severe food poisoning and had to visit a doctor the next day. If you value your health and sanity, never step into this filthy place. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹200–400 Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend Vegetarian options: Health outcome: After eating there, I suffered severe stomach cramps and food poisoning. We had one basic thaali, Half Dal makhni and chapatis..total bill was Rs. 280 for 2 persons. Taste was not good but most unfortunate thing is that we suffered food poisoning after that. We visited there on the night of 25th sept, 2025. I will never recommend anybody to visit here. Next day we had to take medicines from doctor. Really bad experience. We never expected that in a city like Almora we would have this experience. We had meals in the remotest place of Uttarakhand where facilities are much less but had much better experience in both hygiene and taste. Can you imagine?
