Very small and congested atmosphere. No proper service personnel available. Food taste not at the expectation, mutton chukka is very bad. Too much of oil. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹600–800

Worst experience ever we had in Madurai. We travelled from Chennai to eat in the famous so called "SIMMAKKAL KONAR KADAI" in Madurai. We arrived as 5 people and the restaurant was packed, waiting time was about 15 minutes. They took the whole eternity to take order. We wanted to have mutton briyani, parotta, mutton kola and non veg meals but we were informed that those were not available and would be available after 2.30pm (we arrived by 12.30pm). What kind of restaurant would have half of their menu after lunch time. Anyways, we ordered 2 chicken briyanis, 3 mutton kari dosas, 2 nalli chops and 2 mutton chukka only to find out the briyanis would be barely enough for one person, kari dosa had bitter aftertaste, chukka has only oil with hardly 2 pieces in each set and nalli chops doesn't have nalli piece with kuruma taste. What kind of restaurant in Madurai doesn't have parotta Madurai is famous for their parotta right. Huge disappointment. Wouldn't recommend. Not worth for 2.5k rupees. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600
