One of the worst food experiences I’ve had. Ordered chicken fried rice and chicken al-faham from Sea Shell (Velachery) via Swiggy — both dishes had stale, foul-smelling chicken that was clearly unfit for consumption. To top it off, there was a strand of hair in the food, which is disgusting and shows a complete lack of hygiene. Totally unacceptable from a restaurant of this reputation. Never ordering from Sea Shell again — avoid if you care about food safety and basic hygiene. Meal type: Dinner

Visited in February 2025 for lunch on a Sunday. With several new competitors around, Sea Shell really needs to raise its game. The food was overall decent, but nothing truly stood out. We tried the Mandi, non-veg platter, and mutton dum biryani — all of which were decent. However, the veg fried rice was disappointing — the less said about it, the better. We had originally planned to dine at a nearby 'Goddess' mess, but chose Sea Shell due to a shorter wait time. Unfortunately, we couldn’t try another (Z) restaurant just 100 meters away either, as the wait time there was uncertain. Hospitality was good, but parking remains a challenge given the location. The management made a sincere effort to accommodate our cars, though one of us had to stay back until a spot was found. As someone who has frequented their Anna Nagar and (now closed) Greams Road outlets, I can clearly see that there’s room for improvement. Hope the management takes this feedback constructively.
