I am deeply disappointed with the cake I purchased from your bakery. When I opened the box, I was shocked to find that the cake was decomposed and clearly very old. The cream had turned sour, the sponge was dry and discolored, and there was a terrible smell that made it completely inedible. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a place that claims to serve fresh bakery products. Selling such spoiled food is not only careless but also dangerous to customers' health. I expected better hygiene, quality, and basic food safety standards. I strongly urge the bakery to check their stock regularly, maintain proper storage, and never sell expired or old products. I hope others are not subjected to the same experience I had. Definitely not recommending this place unless they seriously improve their quality control. I have been a regular customer of Satyam, Sector 10, and Durg Market Satyam for the past 20 years. However, after my experience today at Smriti Nagar Satyam Bakery, I will never return to any Satyam outlet. At 9:40 PM, I was patiently standing in front of the cakes and pastry display, waiting for the staff to attend to another customer. Once they were available, I politely stated that I wanted to purchase two caramel butterscotch pastries. There was a bearded man at the counter, while another staff member was retrieving the pastries. I simply requested that they pick the specific pastries I was pointing at, as I intended to gift them to a friend. The one they were handing me was smudged on top, making it look unappealing. Upon noticing this, I politely mentioned that the presentation mattered, and I would prefer the pastries I had indicated. At this point, the counter staff suddenly became aggressive and responded rudely, saying, "Oh, what's wrong? It tastes the same. This is not how we sell; we serve them in order. The ones outside will be sold first." I calmly explained that the pastry they were offering was smudged and unpresentable, and another one even had a large black spot on the white frosting, making it unsuitable for gifting. I once again requested the ones I had pointed out, as they were visually intact. However, the staff insisted on serving the smudged pastries, dismissing my concern by saying, "It's just chocolate on top, what's the issue?" Realizing that they were unwilling to accommodate a simple and reasonable request, I politely said, "Then let it be, sir. I won’t take them." To this, the counter staff rudely and aggressively responded, saying: "Haan saley mat lo fir, jo bahar side hai wahi denge hum toh mat lo tumko nahi lena toh." This behavior was absolutely unacceptable—rude, unprofessional, and downright insulting. Such treatment is not what one would expect from a reputed brand like Satyam. As I quietly exited the shop, I could hear the bearded staff member murmuring abusive slurs, which was completely uncalled for. After this horrendous incident, I will never return to Smriti Nagar Satyam Bakery, and I sincerely hope the management takes action to ensure no other customer is treated with such disrespect and hostility.
