After enjoying Dharmaveer Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, it may be a nice idea to visit this bar. Order the menu of Chinese cuisine at Sarovar Restaurant & Bar. It's worth coming to this place to try nicely cooked butter chicken, broth and chicken biryani. As most visitors say, beer is really good.

Went for dinner with friends, but the experience was underwhelming. The water bottle was priced almost twice the usual rate, and the tables were placed so close together that it was hard to have a proper conversation without feeling like we were disturbing others nearby. They use an excessive amount of food colouring — it stained my hands for two days, which raises concerns about what we’re consuming. The ambiance gives more of a typical bar vibe, so if that’s your scene, it might work. Otherwise, I’d suggest exploring other options. Staff seemed a bit impatient, and finding street parking nearby was difficult. Prices were reasonable, but the food taste was just average. Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Sarovar Restaurant & Bar: A Vibe for All (Almost) Sarovar Restaurant & Bar is a Pune institution, offering a unique hangout spot for young and old alike. With its vintage vibes and long history, it's a place that's seen it all. Here's the breakdown: Ambiance: Open-air seating for that classic pub feel, perfect for drinks and smokes. But fear not families, there's a separate air-conditioned section for you to enjoy your meals sans smoke (though drinks are still on the menu). The Scene: Be prepared for a wait, especially on weekend evenings. The place gets lively, and you might face a 30-minute wait. This might not be ideal for conservative families, as the crowd leans towards the tippling kind. Food & Drinks: This is where Sarovar shines! Their chicken biryani is legendary, the best in that part of town, according to many. Plus, the food is generally good, and you get a delightful 5-6 complimentary bar snacks with your drinks (unlimited, no less!). But be warned, sometimes the crowd can get a little rowdy, and altercations might occur. The good news is they have bouncers to keep things under control. Service & Cost: The staff is friendly and helpful, with the manager himself being known for his down-to-earth demeanor and willingness to assist with orders. The prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for a casual beer with friends. Parking: This can be a bit of a challenge. They do offer valet parking for cars, but bikers might have to find their own spot. Service can also get slow on weekends due to the rush. Overall: If you're looking for a lively place with great food (especially the biryani!), friendly service, and a vintage atmosphere, Sarovar Restaurant & Bar is worth a visit. Just be prepared for a potential wait and a crowd that enjoys its drinks. However, if you're with a conservative family or easily uncomfortable in rowdy settings, you might want to consider other options. Price per person: ₹800–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
