My recent visit for a simple takeaway order was a stark reminder that the brand's customer service and operational efficiency have severely deteriorated. The first thing that strikes you upon entering is the complete lack of crowd management. The atmosphere is chaotic, with no clear system for handling dine-in and takeaway customers, leading to a frustrating and disorganized experience for everyone. My intention was to grab a quick takeaway meal, but the reality was anything but. I was made to wait for an astonishing 30 minutes for a basic meal option. This excessive delay is simply unacceptable for a takeaway order. By the time the food was finally ready, it had already lost its freshness and heat right there in the restaurant. The very essence of enjoying a hot, well-prepared meal was gone before I even had a chance to leave. What's more concerning is the general lack of basic etiquette from the staff. There's a noticeable absence of professionalism in how they handle customers. The experience leaves you feeling like just another number in a crowd, rather than a valued patron. Saravana Bhavan's management urgently needs to invest in training their crew. The staff needs to be equipped with the skills to manage crowds efficiently and interact with customers respectfully. Until they prioritize the customer experience and ensure that every visit feels worthy of the money spent, this legendary name will continue to lose its hard-earned reputation.
