It was the 6th day of the ganesh festival & a dear friend of mine & me were pandal hopping after a long time. It was almost post afternoon & we were looking for a reasonable restaurant that serves veg food. We ultimately found one to our happiness & guess what? The name of the restaurant was santosham - roughly translates to "happiness"
Santosham is situated right outside the grant road station on the Western Line. It was packed even at that hour & we had to wait for our turn. We ordered "Masala Chaas" - 1. Because we had to quench our thirst 2. Because, we had to make sure we keep our hunger alive without getting bored during the wait.
Believe me, the Chaas was absolutely awesome. Lived up to its name - Buttery as one would expect a buttermilk to be. On entering, we got a seat on the upper deck & this portion had an AC if i remember correctly.
Since the place is small, we shared the table with another guy. Things ordered-
The usual Chapati, Subzee & Rice. Quality of l Food & Service were good no doubt. But, the buttermilk in particular stole the show. Would come back here again for the buttermilk for sure! ????
