We recently dined at Sansai, a newly opened Asian restaurant in Surat, located conveniently next to Leonardo and Spice Villa. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone – warm lighting, elegant décor, and a calm, inviting atmosphere perfect for enjoying authentic Asian flavors. Miso Soup – A comforting bowl of goodness! The aged miso broth had a deep umami richness, perfectly balanced with silky tofu and fresh wakame. It was light yet packed with flavor, setting the perfect start to our meal. Veg Chilli Garlic Gyoza – These dumplings were an absolute delight! The gyoza were crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside, with just the right kick of chili and garlic. The dipping sauce complemented them beautifully, making them incredibly addictive. Thai Red Curry (Veg) – Hands down, one of the best Thai curries we’ve had in Surat! The curry was creamy, aromatic, and had a perfect balance of spice from dry red chilies and sweetness from coconut milk. The fresh assorted veggies added texture, and the hint of basil elevated the flavors. Paired with jasmine rice, it was simply soul-satisfying. The staff was attentive, polite, and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with great recommendations. The food arrived promptly, and everything was plated beautifully. Sansai is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic and well-executed Asian flavors in Surat.
