Tried this place based on a recommendation and apparently it really used to be a good place to eat at. However, it fell short of our expectations. Tried ordering cocktails, waiter said they've run out of ice. Tried ordering wine, the ones we wanted were not available and the one that was available was yet to be chilled...??? Ended up drinking ginger ale out of the can, not even a glass. Food was alright, nothing extraordinary. Could taste bouillon cubes (maggi cubes). Prawn and kalva portions were reasonable for the price. Chonak portion felt overpriced (Rs. 700). The worst was the veg pulao and Goan chicken chilli. Pulao was just rice boiled with , once again, maggi. Still lacked taste and the chicken chilli was not Goan at all. Turns out the prices are just for the beach view, because the food is subpar. Had a wonderful experience at Sand & Sea Bar & Restaurant! The food and service were both excellent. The ambience was calm and relaxing, made even better by the fact that the restaurant is located right next to the beach. We enjoyed the seasonal Goan drink Uraaq along with some delicious roasted chicken and perfectly fried Chonak fish. A great spot to unwind, enjoy good food, and soak in the beach vibes. What made the experience even more special was the owner himself joining us for a chat – such a warm and friendly person. It truly felt like a homely Goan vibe. Highly recommended! First of all they don't accept payment on Zomato. They should delist it from this platform. Secondly the quality of food has gone down, from what I remember last. They really need to improve the food quality.
