Great atmosphere and decor. Lack of parking space. Cars will have difficulty parking. Friendly and cooperative staffs. Outside food and water are not allowed inside restaurant. Hotel under construction. Comfortable waiting area available at entrance. AC restaurant also available. Foodisg ok-ish. Some pre-made items in a thali can be unsatisfactory (potato fry is not crispy, veg curry has bland taste, chicken is not is still a little bit raw and needed more steaming, low rice quantity, etc). But sone items are exceptionally good. Complimentary water bottle. Washroom is gender neutral and clean. First-time Visit – Mixed Experience Visited this place for the first time. Comparing it with the Samrat Restaurant in Serampore, I would say the Serampore branch stands out as the better option. We ordered butter tandoori roti, plain tandoori roti, and kadhai chicken. The food quality was good overall, though slightly on the oilier side than preferred. The ambience is visually appealing and well-designed, but it lacks a cozy atmosphere. It was quite noisy and crowded during our visit, which took away from the dining experience. We spent over an hour there and noticed that while there were plenty of staff members—waiters, waitresses, and servers—the biggest issue was poor management. Despite the large number of staff, service was inefficient. Guest handling, table coordination, and timely food service all seemed disorganized. With better management, the experience could be significantly improved. On the downside, we noticed a significant delay in the food being served at our table. Additionally, the staff member who attended to us was not courteous and displayed unprofessional behavior.
