I really doubt if this is the real Salem RR Biryani or some duplicate branch. I’ve had Salem RR in many places and it was always good, but this Thanjavur branch is honestly the worst. I ordered mutton biryani and prawn gravy — the total was ₹610. I don’t even know how they priced it. If biryani is ₹300, then prawn gravy is ₹310 — but the quantity was barely half a cup with just 7 to 8 small prawns. That’s ridiculous! Even the biryani didn’t taste like before — flavorless, mild, and not worth the money. And this happened on a Sunday, which makes it even more disappointing. I really don’t understand what the management is doing here. Poor taste, poor quantity, and poor value for money. Please don’t waste your money at Salem RR Thanjavur. They’re honestly cheating customers. And if anyone else has faced a similar experience here, please share your comments — so people like me won’t fall for it again. Great Service. Mostly, authentic restaurants like SS Hyderabad biriyani and Salem RR biriyani are too crowded, and service will be poor due to the overcrowding. But here it was not the case. The food taste was excellent, and the service was overwhelming. Unexpectedly good one.
