Visited Salem RR Biryani recently and it was a mixed bag. They serve chicken, mutton, egg and prawn biryani along with South Indian dishes. Restaurant’s reputation doesn’t really match this outlet. We tried mutton biryani, chicken biryani, chicken 65 biryani and tandoori. Mutton and chicken biryani were okay, chicken 65 was good. But the biryanis could’ve been served warmer and had low heat. The tandoori was a letdown, smelled old and was dry. The late night biryani was delicious, hot and masala rich. Service, food consistency and ambience definitely need work, but the late night biryani’s worth trying!
