Ordered porotta and chilli chicken from the restaurant. Unfortunately, the chilli chicken was a complete disaster. The salt level was extremely high, and the flavour was nowhere close to a usual chilli chicken. I immediately called the restaurant and informed them. They agreed to replace the item. When the delivery person arrived, I asked him to taste it; he said this is how their chilli chicken usually tastes. I then called the restaurant again, and the person who attended the call said they would replace it. I requested to change the dish instead, but he refused, saying the item was already billed and hence couldn’t be changed. I agreed and let it be. We had just a small piece of chicken, but within 20 minutes, I developed severe stomach pain followed by vomiting. My mother also suffered from severe gastritis and nausea. I called the restaurant again and informed them that we did not want the dish anymore due to this. The response was simply, “Bill cheyth poi.”. I clearly told them money was not the issue—I just didn’t want the food. What disappointed me the most was that there was not even a basic apology, nor did anyone bother to ask about our condition. Chilli chicken is a dish we Indians regularly eat—it’s not some alien cuisine to get so wrong. To be fair, the porotta was very good. What’s concerning is that this is not the first time. A similar issue happened earlier with Schezwan chicken fried rice, though that time they at least replaced it with normal fried rice. Food: 1

We truly apologize for the inconvenience you experienced and appreciate the opportunity to explain.To clarify, when you first ordered chicken chilli gravy, we delivered it as requested. After you raised a concern, our delivery person went back to pick it up. At that point, you mentioned that there was a mix-up and you had actually intended to order something like chicken Kondattam instead of chicken chilli. However, since we had already started preparing a fresh chicken chilli gravy based on the initial order, we continued with that.Just before we could deliver the new portion, you called and decided to cancel the order, which we completely understand and respect.As for the previous issue with the Schezwan fried rice, we’d like to highlight that we had a good conversation at that time and resolved it smoothly. We provided a normal chicken fried rice as per your request. We explained that the taste issue was not because the rice was bad, but because sometimes the Schezwan sauce can overheat if the flame is too high, which can change the flavor. We replaced it with a normal fried rice, and everything was resolved well through good communication that time.We want to emphasize that these situations are not solely due to one side. We’ve been serving food for a long time and understand that occasionally things can go wrong in any kitchen. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to serve you better in the future.
